मालिन को आते देखकर बगीचे की कलियाँ आपस में बातें करती हैं कि आज मालिन ने फूलों को तोड़ लिया और कल हमारी बारी आ जाएगी। कहने का तात्पर्य यह है कि आज हम और आप जवान हैं कल बूढ़े भी हो जायेंगे और एक दिन हम सबको ही जाना है यानी आज की कली, कल फूल बनेगी।

मालिन आवत देख के, कलियन कहे पुकार ।

फूले फूले चुन लिए, कलि हमारी बार ।

Seeing Malin coming, the buds of the garden talk among themselves that today Malin plucked the flowers and tomorrow it will be our turn. It means to say that today we and you are young, tomorrow we will also become old and one day we all have to go i.e. today's bud will become a flower tomorrow.
